Petrol stations on Xmas Day

Are any open?

We are thinking of going for a motorbike ride as Neil sorted out my bike today and we got the COmpliance etc on it (thankyou hun xxx)

With no kids, a bike ride seems an awesome way to spend the day but I only get about 180km per tank so planning for fuel is essential.

We live near Christchurch

I have notice that the petrol stations that are on main routes are always open regardless of the day or time. Those that are in small hamlets may not be open but fi you are not far from a main route or pass a station with a half tank of fuel just fill if you are taking a more scenic route!

For the most part the main operators will be open. The ones which aren't are those few which are still run by independent franchisees as I understand.
