Parents' Immigration

Hi There

I am a New Zealand Permanent Resident. In 2022 I'll be granted citizenship. I have my father and mother back in the country of birth. I have one married sister who lives in the USA. She has 3 kids and a husband. My parents live alone and there is no one (children or grandchildren) who can take care of them. New Zealand's current parent category residency visa conditions are very strict i.e parent's child must earn around 200,000$ to sponsor both parents. This earning is equivalent to impossible for common people. My earning is very very below this amount. As per age, they are suffering with health issues such as diabetics etc. My parents have are financially strong.

Based on all the aforementioned information, I need to know:

1) After becoming citizen, can I apply for my parent's residency based on humanitarian grounds that my parents are alone there, they are facing difficulties in living their lives alone and I am their only caretaker being a son and I want to keep them with me.
2) Any legal way to keep them with me forever in New Zealand

Regards

No.

Only through the NZ immigration parent visa categories.

Please note that even if you met all the criteria and immigration was opened again to the Parent Category there is currently a queue.
Nobody knows how long this is, but probably a couple of years.
