My bad! This has been shut since October and in all the Covid crap I didn't see it has reopened now. Fair play if you hit the new extremely tough rules, I doubt anyone on here has been through this yet under new rules so good to hear how you get on! Immigration NZ are working again in their office I see now in level 2.

Wow but you need 1 million cash and 60K pa, that's gonna rule out a lot of parents. Any alternative ways? Adopt your granny etc?

Sorry, but what does 'adopt your granny' mean in the context of this thread?

Well if you have grown up kids and say want to bring your mother in law over could one of your kids adopt your mother in law legally?

Immigration have started to Process Parent Visa EOI’s. The mother in laws EOI was received by immigration in March. The EOI is now in the pool and until it is selected for processing. EOI’s in the pool are Ranked by the date they were accepted by immigration NZ.

Just got to wait to see if the EOI is accepted and if she gets invited to apply for residency or is declined
