Default Pak n Save, I braved it this morning, on my own. Big mistake

Got to the Lincoln Road branch at 8.15am and the place was heaving, there were some right sites in there. Pushing a giant sized P&S trolley round there was a cross between being on the dodgems and an episode of Wacky Races with rather large pacific islanders blocking most isles oblivious to everyone else just fixated with staring meat n chocolate.

P&S has taken over from Chinese drivers as my favourite subject to moan about, it's turning into a quite nice hobby. It's good to keep ones self busy!

Anyway I'll leave you with this photo I took of the chaos at the checkout.

HaHa thats funny brings back memories when I had to shop there and all I did was moan about the place the quality of food and extortionate prices 100% rip off!!!!!

Been back in UK now for 3 weeks and shopped at Waitrose today and it was actually cheaper than Pak N Sh*t.............

I'm never going back, I ended up getting PnS Tourette's again. $5 for a tin of soup in 'NZ's cheapest Supermarket dedicated to lowering prices' is taking the piss.

From my recollection a tin of soup in the Asda is a fraction of the price.

Well, thank your lucky stars that you are not in Christchurch. All 15 Countdowns in the city were closed on Xmas eve. Don't see anyone moaning about that here.

Have a good Christmas everyone.

£3 for 4 tins in ASDA this morning.

I looked at your photo: I thought it had been uploaded via photobucket but you obviously used "gutbucket". There were some VERY large people on there.

It's a very heavy photo, uses lots of waist bandwidth.

Soups you sir.

I'm still trying to work out what Countdown shutting in Christchurch has to do with the price of soup in Pak n Save in Auckland.

I was going to say the same thing! People were just buying food anywhere they could get into! Lots of nice fresh veg being sold from the market stores along Marshland and anywhere that was open

Sorry, apart from the obvious rather fat asses, thats a queue of about 3 people at a checkout anywhere in the world. Hardly a factual comment on the state of P&S , let alone N Z
