Opinions on duvets :D

Re: Opinions on duvets :D
We had two in NZ- for winter we used a feather/down one with 100% cotton cover and as much down as we could afford (from Briscoes in sale) and in summer we had a really lightweight 100% cotton one, which was like sleeping under several sheets (also from Briscoes in sale). I really like using a top sheet under the thin cotton summer duvet but not under the feather one. Once you've slept under a decent quality (don't skimp on quality) feather duvet you will never go back.

PS for the desktop pic I think your husband should be sleeping in the laundry.

Really hate to spoil the fun but could I ask if anyone has imported feather duvets in their container?
I am assuming that because they contain feathers, they will require MAFF inspection?

ours are and came over all well and good. packers never asked what they were filled with. plus if they can't come over in container I doubt they would let them be posted

Thanks! Just reading the info and feathers do have to be declared in the manifest but I'll leave it up to the packers to sort that one out.

Re: Opinions on duvets :D
I wasn't sure that they would post a feather duvet to NZ, so I was pleasantly surprised when it wasn't an issue for Marks or NZ customs.
I'm not commentating on the pics as I'm now emotionally disturbed by them & have booked in for some therapy!

I think they sterilise feathers when making duvets- or they go through some sort of cleaning process.
