Default Oooh you Lucky N.I'ers

Just heard on the radio that Ikea are in talks to open a store in South Auckland - lets hope they do it soon eh! Hope they will do mail order to the South Island. I suppose that is the drawback of living in the South! Ikea or the beautiful south - decisions decisions !! No contest, South wins hands down LOL

I am not sure but I suspect that NZ ikea would be like the Australian Ikea rather than the UK Ikea.

Check out both links www.ikea.com.au and www.ikea.co.uk

Quite interesting as there appears to be considerably different stock. Or more specifically, the UK stores have a lot more.

I agree with you. When I read this thread first time, that idea came across my mind first. It would be nothing like the UK IKea. Surely not.

although it's not the best one or UK equivalent, it's still better than nothing isn't it?

The first thing I will do is (if the shop open), go and have a look for decent quality sofa cover - whenever I visit Auckland.
