One off money transfer from the UK, best option?
Hi
I need to move some money from the UK. It's not tens or hundreds of thousands but its a bit more than just a few quid so id like to get the best rate and minimal fees. This will be a one off payment but im loathed to use my bank (ANZ) so any suggestions who would be worth looking at??

HiFx
over a certain amount no fees, think it was 3000 but you would need to check. you transfer your money into their company Barclays account in the UK, quick if you bank with Barclays, then then just transfer into you bank here. We bank with ANZ, previously National and under National never paid a transfer fee in so would expect the same from ANZ ?

I use Moneycorp in the UK.
There is no fee as it's all included in the exchange rate they offer which are way better than the bank.
When you have agreed a deal you send the money in to their account in the UK and a few days later it appears in your NZ account.
We use Nationwide in the UK and ANZ here and neither of them charge a fee for this service.

Thanks for your suggestions. Just saw the other topic about receiving regular funds too so good to see the same recommendations are cropping up in both. I will check them out tomorrow.
