It's fine, there are other studies showing coffee reduces rates of cancer. Nice of science to clear that up for us.

NZ educated therefore my English is dodgy, I never learnt about subordinate clauses. Anyway, my niece works for Monsanto so they need the help.

The research is certainly not sketchy! Monsanto is a huge company who will sell where they can but many counties have banned the use of glyphosate or over the counter sales. If you believe that a manmade chemical that kills living things cannot affect the environment you already have poor logic. I've done a lot of research on this subject and glyphosate is bad news. I know that its use in the UK is widespread but also since at least 15 years many NZ councils use heat treatment to kill weeds rather than chemical means. What worries me is that so many British expats have this attitude to the country they move to. You as a consumer have the power. Ignorance is a poor excuse.

We have used both RoundUp and fire to kill weeds but stopped using RoundUp a couple of years ago when new research on its effects came to light. There's a lot of fun to be had on a boring fternoon when you have too many weeds and own a hulking great flame gun!
I do make sure I have either a connected hose pipe or buckets of water and sand nearby though, even in our wet climate.
