Salad cream - can't bring myself to pay $10 for a 500ml bottle, have moved onto Pams salad dressing which is pretty close and only $5.65 for a kg jar.
I really miss Soccer Saturday at 3pm with Geoff Sterling and the boys
Have you tried Merivale fresh choice or Fendalton New World?

I miss excellence. Everything is mediocre in NZ with the exception of agriculture. That is the one area where NZ really excels.

Gas Central Heating, double glazing and decent home insulation. When we buy, that will be built into the budget because both hubby and I really miss it!
I miss John Lewis. I just want a good department store with almost everything under one roof that is good quality! I didn't even buy that much there in my previous life, but I liked going to have a look around.

Yep Watties might look like Heinz but dont be fooled, it tastes nothing like it.
I miss;
- (what I think are) good takeaway Indian and chinese meals and proper chip shop chips
- central heating and double glazing
- related to the above, it being warmer inside than outside the house
- Magners cider
- Paprika pringles
- the availability of affordable organic/free range food

Perhaps, but not in dairy it would seem.
UK:- "Yield per cow is increasing and is around 7,315 litres per cow per year"

NZ:- "On averarge New Zealand dairy cows produce 3,800 litres per head per year"

Oh and good nights out in pubs and seeing dressed up people with a sense of fun and humor.
Crowds of people and great shops.
Men that can flirt and are interesting
Attractive people ok that was sarcasm

Good cheese! Just a good mature cheddar. Any little niggly things I've missed along the way I've been able to pick up at the English Shop; Heinz Tomato soup, Salad Cream (eye watering price on that though).
And as a few have said - a decent indian takeaway. I didn't realise how good we are at it in the UK until I got here!

I need to amend my list! Yes to missing the curries... It has taken us ages to find somewhere that does a great gluten free curry. Also the organic / free range food and nice cheeses. I second all of those suggestions!

Instead of mourning our loss, anyone found any good replacements? Like good Indian restaurants to try instead?
Or cheese shops? Or cheese and onion crisp shops? Lol (I load up on walkers from Pak n Save)
