OECD cuts NZ growth forecast.
In its twice-yearly economic outlook, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) trimmed its 2012 New Zealand growth forecast to 2.5 per cent from 4.1 per cent in May, and said 2013 should see 3 per cent growth.
Unemployment rises to 6.6%.

The NZ v OZ, or NZ v Anywhere else, seems much less prevalent on here. It is the same on the OZ forums, always battles between OZ and the UK, rarely Oz v NZ. We all do it to an extent I suppose, so I suppose we should all stop looking over our shoulder. Comparisons are needed, for those thinking about change, and if someone has posted something about a country which is wrong, perceived or otherwise, then that should be discussed. The OP did not mention the UK - why should he, but it pretty soon descended into the old NZ v UK debacle in, lets see, 1 post!

Why not include them here - it would add some breadth, some interest and be less predictable. Actually, scrub that - going to go and tinker with my bike.

Russia isn't a fully developed economy though, like saying NZ is worse than India because our growth rate is lower .
The only point of an OECD comparison is to see how our governments direction compares to others, which strategy carries highest reward? Of course traditionally we promptly ignore the obvious and carry on regardless anyway. After all governments can't go changing policy just because what they are doing isn't working, what kind of a state would that leave the country in?
