To cut a long story short, I feel insecure living in NZ these days with loads of major issues..

but I don't know what the answer is....

Re: NZ's future..does it have one?
yep. Thats what i've been thinking ..
I still can't stand living in Oz (as you Well know...) but would rather be somewhere secure eh?....
terribly regret that why I didn't get Oz citizenship at that time...10 something odd years ago...When in my early 20's... Mum said you should have obtained that when you could do it SO easily.
Both my parents gonna receive their super (from next month) in Nz... they don't really want to move elsewhere..
dunno where my life is heading..

I still cant get people coming on here and constantly bagging NZ and how bad it is.
Nobody forces people to emigrate here, we all chose to do it and I would assume we all did some research before selling up in our home countries and moving here to start a new life.
I am actually paid more here than I was in the UK so i have no complaints at all, yes the food can be expensive and petrol is a pain in the ass the way it goes up and down like a pair on knickers on manchester street but i firmly believe we have a better life here in NZ that we did and could have back in Scotland, so come on lets get behind NZ a little more and stop slagging it off so much, i mean it could be worse, we could all be English .............. (im kidding before i get the flood of complaints )

My job has changed forever here as a result of the quake, but I still love it too. However, I also understand that sometimes it's just not possible for those who decide it's not for them to leave, for example we were sponsored to come here by way of shipping costs, going back we would have to pay our own.........etc

How do you reconcile this comment:

Have the discussion your way or not at all????

Why don't you get off my case???? I was barracked for daring to mention some home truths..I suggested he moves on if he finds it offensive.

You seemed to take it as you being barracked. Then you complain about others being sensitive????

Re: NZ's future..does it have one?
This is an open forum. It is a sad day when people start being the 'forum police'. It is not about me being sensitive about me OR my threads, it is annoyance when people don't get it when you simply give truthful, evidence based facts about something (in this case shite about NZ) and they 'don't understand it'. WTF? Surely without being grossly offensive I can post what views I like about NZ. And I don't need anyone telling me otherwise. It is daft being sensitive about a whole frigging country.

If you don't agree with his answer to his own question, then put forward your own.
I'll get my coat, and retire to the bar - I think I'm in need of a drink, I just seem to have agreed with something Genesis has posted (for once ) but before I go, I'll just quietly mention the fact that there are a number of members here who, for various reasons, have ended up in NZ 'by accident', and do have issues with not being able to leave - please treat their views/experiences with the same sort of respect that is given to the 'happy clappers'.
