NZ visa for Aussie temporary resident?

NZ visa for Aussie temporary resident?
Hi all and happy new year. I am an Aussie citizen and my partner is in Oz with me on a de facto spouse visa. At the moment she is a temporary Australian resident, and will get full Australian residency in August. We are both moving to NZ later this month for a while for family reasons.
Does anybody know if my partner will be able to live and work in NZ on her temporary Australian citizenship visa (I know permannet residents have full rights to live and work in NZ), or will she need to apply for a new visa in NZ? If she will need a new visa, do you know what one? She is an Australian trained primary school teacher.
I am posting this in both the Australian and NZ forums, so apologies for any duplication.
