Re: NZ EXPO London and Manchester
Hi
I will be attending Manchester expo and i qualify as a midwife in june next year 2008. Do you have any positions for midwives with very little experience, hoping to secure work here whilst I go through immigration process( although the situation is dire so may not be possible??) Hope to relocate in NOV 2008-jAN 2009 DEPENDING HOW LONG PROCESS TAKES? I am also coming over to NZ for my elective placement in June 2008 and will be working alongside a LMC who is employed by Whangerei Hosp.
There is a new grad programme at Middlemoore but we were hoping to relocate to Whangerei . Do any other hospitals offer this support?
Thanks
Jo

Hello
I actually work for Lakes District Health Board www.lakesdhb.govt.nz If you are looking to work in Rotorua or Taupo, send an email to recruitment at lakes.
Sorry, can't speak for anywhere else, although I believe the new grad programme is in operation everywhere for new midwives, although you may have to be NZ trained to get on one.
Cheers

Not sure about general lab staff, but send in a CV for the attention of the recruitment officer at Lakes District Health Board.

Any engineers out there would do well to visit Beca's stand at the London Expo... I've got a list of the vacancies if anyone wants to PM me!

Hi Gill, my husband and i are looking to relocate to ?Bay of Plenty region in next two years, (want to clear some bills first!) OH is ODP and i am a staff nurse. Worked in acute med directorate for 10yrs and have been on comm with District Nurse Team for last 3 1/2 years. Thinking about applying to do either Specialist Public Health(school health) or district nurse Post Grad dip. Would you have any idea if one or either would have more relevance or not in NZ? We are coming to expo in London in Oct will lok out for your stand.
Many thanks Louise and family

This thread originaly started in 2006, so I'm afraid I won't be at this years expo. However, as a nurse you will walk in to a job ANYWHERE, do not feel pressured to accept the first offer. Check out the District Health Board web site for vacncies.
Cheers Gill
