Well as per my thread - we decided yesterday that we will sell up and just go out.

We havent even been picked from the pool as we are not on the "skilled list" so we will have to just go out and hope to secure a job,then permit, then PR etc etc

Good Luck Andy and Georgina and anyone else whos going to just jump on a plane and try it. As ive said before, we did it in November with 3 kids. We sold our house, put our furniture in storage and booked flights. We could'nt have afforded a recce either so we just had to try it. We did'nt have enough points even to submit our EOI.
Were now here in Torbay, OH has a job and work permit. ITA has been granted and will be submitted in May, kids are at school and all is great. Our furniture should arrive next week. Hurray

Neither have we been before but what the heck. Jump in with 2 feet. Its the best way (I think).
If you do a recce in one area and then find that work takes you somewhere different then you have wasted all that money.
People come here from all over the world with absolutely nothing to make a better life for themselves. Most dont even speak the lingo and still succeed.
We are doing the same with 4 kids in tow and, although nervous, will make sure we make it our dream.
