Hardly surprising there are more ethnicities than countries is it :rofl:

159 Cornish
87 Gypsies
33 Gaelic
24 Shetland Islanders
6 Orkney Islanders

and more worrying 225 that didn't know. :sneaky:

At a end of year do the guest speaker was Prof. from Massey Uni and who mentioned that Auckland is the most diverse city in the world. 60% of its population are either migrants or children of migrants.

It's funny to think about this in respect to the UK in which has about half the rate per capita yet spends a lot more time "worrying about immigrants" (in the Daily Mail sense of the term).

Maybe we should join the EU?

Love leeks, what use in coal in Chch? daffs have all gone now, but what the hell I can now support the AB's and no one here has accused me of 'stealing a leg of beef' :rofl:
p.s when we moved into this house there was a coal bunker full of the stuff and it took me ages to get rid of it!;)

Perhaps if the population of NZ was already 60 million and another couple of million people had arrived in the last few years, NZ might not be so comfortable about it?
