New Years Eve advice

Hi everyone
We (my husband, 18mo son and I) are moving to Auckland, arriving 30 December - woohoo!!!

We obviously want to celebrate the New Year in our new adopted home and have been desperately scouring the internet trying to find out what to do on New Years eve so we can get something booked. Without a great deal of luck!

Ideally we would like to have a bite to eat somewhere around 9pm then keep hold of the table to see in the New Year (if that would be possible anywhere)?

Any suggestions or advice would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks
Helen

Re: New Years Eve advice

Depends what you want to see, if its the fireworks I think the best place to view is from across the harbour in Devonport
but thats only a small place and probably not much more going on. The Viaduct area will be busy (as usual) and will probably
be full of revellers although I dont know if you'll see fireworks from there or you may have to walk round the corner

put this in google maps "The Viaduct Grill, Customs Street West, Auckland" and it'll show links to lots of places to eat in the area
