Hi,

Hello and a big welcome to the New Zealand section of BE from the Consierges in Spain.
You will find excellent information in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.
BE Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font. Also there are Consierges who can support and guide you.
Please contact me if I can give you any further help.

Hello & to our NZ forums Joanne. I can't help with your particular request as I don't get into the city much & I think you'd be looking for someone a bit younger than me to meet with .
Try the Meet-up forum. Hope you are settling into life in Auckland. Best of luck

Re: New to Nz, looking to make friends in Auckland
Hi Joanne
I am new to this thread and will be leaving the UK shortly. I am 31, single and finally decided to take a leap of faith about the whole moving to NZ thing! Will travel around NZ before settling in Auckland from 1 March. How are you finding it so far?! I hope you have settled in.
Question - whereabouts in Auckland are you living with your 3 flatmates? Do you like the area and which websites did you use to find accomodation?
I am hoping to find some work in the CBD and want to live somewhere reasonably central without spending a fortune.
Hopefully c u in the City of Sails in a few months!
