Hi have just moved to NZ with my husband and our 2 daughters (oldest 3years, youngest 6 months) We are moving to Amberley & Paul is working in Rangiora. Moved over 4weeks ago now. Any tips out there? Thanks Jemma x

Yes, the Rangiora High School kids think that the kids from Amberley and further north have two heads and that their older sister and mother are in fact the same person 
But seriously, Rangiora is a great little place, and normally very quiet, but it's teeming now with all the people made homeless in Chch. Amberley and the surroundings are great too. Go for a walk up to Tiromoana in the Kate Valley, turn left off SH1 opposite the turn off to Hanmer, amazing. Drive up the Waipara Valley and round Pyramid Valley to end up back at Waiau and the http://www.wekapassrailway.co.nz/ amazing scenery on your doorstep.
