Our daughter is starting college in Wellington in a couple of weeks and the flats she's looking at require that she provides her own bed . We 'll be in Welly this w/e and if she gets the flat probably shopping for a bed on Monday.

Does anyone have a single bed and wardrobe they'd like to sell or can recommend a shop that isn't too pricey?

Dont know what it is like in the North Island but here in Christchurch it is nearly impossible to find a shop that sells wood wardrobes. You can buy the cheapy ones at Bunnings but they are not fantastic quality... Good luck anyways...

Hi Helen,

Now you have access again to TradeMe choose Wellington as the area and see if there are any in the area on TradeMe perhaps? We have a single bed frame, but use the mattress for sleepovers and if we sell you our 1 remaining wardrobe all out winter coats () will end up strewn across the garage floor!

I`m sure I saw a post on this board this week about somebody in Wellington with a bed for sale plus some other items!

I'd always recommend buying a new bed and mattress, Wellington Beds are pretty good, as with the wardrobe, there are plenty of salvation army stores around, so you should be able to pick something up there.
