No, it's because Sky+ doesn't work in NZ. But they have the same thing, MySky.

Yes Pete, I've already explained this to you.
Glad you're sticking up for the Gooner's, don't listen to that scouse bloke.

You have to have a kiwi sky+boxy thing - if the house you have rented/bought doesn't have a Sky dish - and lots do, if you're a Sky subscriber you don't have to take the dish if you move as Sky will instal one where you're going if it is dishless - also, with the hills round Wellington - some areas can't get good reception on TV1/TV2 etc so have a Sky dish even for free-to-air channels - you usually pay a one-off $300/400 installation cost which includes the boxy thing - sometimes there are special offers which reduce the installation cost - thereafter it costs around $80/month and you can watch sport 24 hours a day!

Danny, I've already given him grief over his spelling as well! I think it's all this texting...
I'm from Middlesex originally, born in Barnet so I'd have to follow them or the nearest big team which was the Arsenal, you were either Arsenal or Tottenham at my school.
But I'm more of a rugby man since I was no good at football. I'll miss my Friday nights this autumn watching all the premiership and the Heineken cup, although it'll still be on in NZ but just at some ungodly hour!
I'm mainly going for the weather and the peace and quiet. It's peace and quiet here in Scotland but the weather is awful, even though we've had a really good summer!

Cheers,

Bob.

I will subscribe to the most expensive, most exclusive, most home-entertaining thing my budget will allow! What a draw that would be if I was the only one in my acre who had the Tyson fight,or Pele doing keepeyups,or the All Blacks playing darts,or the Aussies getting battered by Zimbabwe,or Grimsby beating Chelsea,or a Brit winning Wimbledon,or Tony Blair doing porn,or the Pope playing pool with the UVF,or Israel playing table tennis with Lebannon for the Gaza Strip?

But you will be able to spend Friday evenings - Wellington beat Bay of Plenty last night - Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons watching NZ Rugby Cup matches, Tri-nations - All Blacks retained the Bledisloe Cup last weekend - and Super 14 - go The Hurricanes!

Come on the Crusdaders! Yeah I'm looking forward to the Kiwi rugby scene. When I got my Kiwi job I made the mistake of saying I liked the Crusaders, as the Company is in New Plymouth the Boss ranted about the Crusaders being boring and how great the 'Canes are. Well we'll see, without Tana I think the Hurricanes are lacking something, whereras the Crusaders aren't lacking owt...as long as Dan is fit.

Do you think the Aussies will do the Jaapies by 49-0 again tomorrow - I think not.

Hey-don't mind a bit of the old egg chasing!! Lived 10 mins from St Helens ground-the Worlds best Rugby League team.I can adapt,no0 bother, and Me mate,Keiran Bracken used to throw the odd shaped ball for England. I'll settle for that transition-4.1 million people can't be wrong!!!!!!!

My hubby is avid Chelsea fan, and to my amazement their seems to be more live games shown here on sky than in the uk, time difference doesn't seem to be an issue either, he just gets up early, they also have an Official Chelsea Supporters Club here in Auckland, so if I thought Chelsea would be put to one side, then I was sadly mistaken!!

Tell you What Bob,can remember seeing a couple of Sunday amateur games in Rotorua,Napier etc-bloody brutal!! Some of these sides would've given Home Nations a run. I won't mind a bit of rugger, won't mind getting up early either to watch footy. Gooners look quite handy pre season-as do Man u and Chelsea- my beloved pool have just been smacked 5-0 by some German 2nd Div rhubarb. Looking sound there then.

Westiesme old mate, trust your hubby to disappear half way round just as Jose picks up the Blues fortunes!! Hilarious. Don't suppose there'll be a Liverpool Supporters Club in Welly. They'll have nicked it.
