Oh Chippy, what a moving and graphic account. It helps bring the whole situation home to me as a reality - I still can't believe it has happened. Thank you for sharing.

Just a quick post to say that my local paper has printed excerpts of Sam's account. Very proud Mum!
Also, saw on his fb page that he rates his happiness as 9 out of 10 - before he moved to NZ it was about 2 out of 10.
Many thanks again for all the lovely messages on here, which I have shared with him. He can't believe the reaction he has had. He said 'I only did it so family and friends would have some idea.' Bless!

Reading this made me cry. It's the first thing I've seen to really describe what people in Christchurch have been going through.
Hope 2012 is a better and much less shaky year.

He's able to portray what happened so vividly - he's a very very very good writer. I'd be very proud of him too Chippy64. Gives me hope for the future really to see 19 year olds who can express themselves like that. ,
