Music Auckland, gig buddy needed

Hi there

Have just arrived in Auckland with my family and I love the place, incredibly friendly and welcoming. I am very keen to find out more about the music scene in Auckland. My thing was to go to small pub gigs or to medium size venue gigs in Bristol in the UK. Really I'm into a broad range of music so if anyone has any suggestions it would be really helpful. Tim Finn (not my thing) and King Porter Stomp (Fantastic) is the limit of my NZ music knowledge.

Can't help you much and don't know if you're male or female but I used to go to gigs by myself all the time back in the UK [much more perceived as socially 'odd' for a female] I just didn't want to find myself at a gig with people who didn't really want to be there. Once they start, who knows or cares who you're with? It's easy to fake it:rofl:
Only gig I've been to here I went to alone and had a great time:) Would have preferred to be with like minded people but they're not that easy to come by...
