Moving to Auckland
Hi All
usually in the Australia forum as I live in Melbourne but want to ask some questions on behalf of my sister who is moving to Auckland. She is moving on a sponsored visa and wil lbe a stay at home mum based in the Auckland area and hopes to be in country in 4 to 5 months time. My questions are - is it polite to laugh when a NZ er says fish and chips or quotes the number 6? no serioulsy thats just me havin a larff. are there any ex-pat communities in Auckland ? How hard will it be for her to make friends and settle? What are living conditions like? how much do things cost? what are the best suburbs surrounding Auckland? can anyone recommend any websites for us to look at? Thanks for your help Neil   |
