(mothering sunday in the UK)

In case you guys hadnt spotted it on your calendars!

That's early

My mother's birthday is on the 22nd March, and it is usually around about then.

as i started to mention - it's 11 May here.

Though, i guess if your mother is back in the UK missing the day and then pleading "oops" isn't going to work.

Much easier for kiwis and aussies when we are over in the UK. Cos it hits earlier we get a reminder of sorts to get our butts into gear and buy some choccies from marks n sparks.

easter is early too - mothering sunday always falls between lent and easter i believe...

We've already told our mums that its diff dates here so they'll get cards when we can get them here. It was either that or we hand make some each year with a hand or footprint on (like we did at pre-school) LOL! But think we're bit old for that now They were both cool bout waiting; it means they get two days - Mothers Day in UK by their other children and Mothers Day NZ from us.

Sweet as! Thanks, KP. When I lived in the US, I had an understanding with my parents that my (still in my hometown) brother would get the UK Mothering Sunday, and I'd get the US one. So she got it twice, and I got reminded by Hallmark and the American Greetings company.
