I thought it quite an interesting idea and we trawled trademe for similar. If you don't mind being very remote and are smart about location (IE Southland is smart choice atm) there's gold in them there hills.

Not so sure about east of Dannevirke though :lol:

I just had a browse through Trademe to see what you could actually get for $100k or less and there are some quite interesting bargains to be had should one want to drop out of the rat race and live the good life. :D
