Moped licence
Hi folks, could you please tell me what type of licence the wife will need to ride a 125cc scooter in NZ?
We've penciled in a flight date of 4 weeks today and we are shipping a little moped we have, she has no type of licence here in the UK but she can apply for a provisional but that can take up to 4 weeks to be delivered, is it worth it or is there a similar type of licence she can apply for when we arrive?
Thanks

Re: Moped licence
125cc = Motorcycle.
You will need to get a motorcycle (class 6) licence.

Thanks for that.
Looks like applying for a provisional and getting her CBT here before we go won't do her much good then.
Cheers

Check http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/forum.php for plenty of info.
250 is learner limit here though. Why not put here through one of those week long direct access courses before you leave?

Re: Moped licence
Because we're aiming to go in less than 4 weeks and a provisional licence can take as long a 20 working days, therefore we can't send her passport away to apply for the licence.
Thanks very much for the link though.
