Migration questions x 2
Hi all,
I am looking to get migrate to NZ from the UK and focused on getting "Document Ready". I have two questions for you as i don't want to waste my time or money.
Am i better off using a visa consultants or should I try go it alone?
I am a 45 year old T1 diabetic - good health and no complications. Are there any other T1 diabetics that have had their visa approved or is it really just a flat no. I don't want to waste the money if it is likely for my visa to be declined.
TIA
Cate

We used an immigration advisor for our work to residence work visa and found it worth every penny. Currently applying for perm residence now through NZ shores and again, glad we are using a service. Doing it on our own would have been too complicated and we would of got some things wrong.
Not sure about the health q sorry.

Yup. Unless there is a specific issue or maybe quals and work exp are not quite the ticket then it is easy to DIY an application. It is a step by step numbers exercise. One ends up collating all docments oneself anyway whether DIY or paying someone to fill in a couple of forms.
Diabetes is not listed as a condition deemed to pose significant cost to NZ. The list can be found in NZ immigration operations manual A4.10.1 ( google)
