might we really have sold the house?!?
breaking my self-imposed 'no britishexpats' at work rule (just in case anyone works out what we're up to, cos we haven't told a load of people yet, including work!!!)
BUT HAD TO TELL SOMEONE
solicitor just got in touch to say we've got a completion date on our house sale next week...
rental bungalow and evenings spent with nzis here we come (hopefully, cos definately not counting any chickens until we've actually given the keys to the estate agent!)
wow
(hopefully, fingers crossed etc!!)

Re: might we really have sold the house?!?
thanks all!... just had a panic thinking that i might have sounded REALLY smug - i know loads are in the houseselling process and having a mare... not being smug, just ENORMOUSLY relieved... it's taken 8 months... and as we decided not to actually submit EOI til the house was sold, it's been incredibly frustrating!
anyway, still got everything crossed that it goes ok in the next week or so....
... and GOOD LUCK to all those in the same boat!
sent off our 17month olds passport app this morning so we've got her number to put on the EOI... OH took her to a booth for the photo and it's turned out perfectly - what a sweetie! hope everything else goes as smoothly!?!?
