You can take the Kiwi out of New Zealand but my in-laws still send my other half a pair of Canterbury shorts each xmas. He'll wear them throughout the winter with his thick fleece on and then complain about the cold.

Love wearing shorts over here although not short shorts (down to knee) and would be lost without my flip flops (jandals). If its warm enough (it often is) I see nowt wrong with wearing smart shorts anytime/where.
