Medicals... do they run out??

Medicals... do they run out??
My ITA was lodged on 2nd March, if my medicals are more than 3 months old before I'm assigned a case officer, will I have to get them re-done and pay all over again? There are 5 of us, me, OH and 3 children.... Expensive!!
