Measles and mumps vaccination
Does anyone know if you can get the single measles or mumps vaccination anywhere in Pan Asia, ie via a private company or clinic? I am currently living in South Australia and can only source the single rubella here.
Cheers

Re: Measles and mumps vaccination
Hi, somebody will answer but probably no-one whose read the post knows the answer at the moment.... I dont.
All I know is that my 2 year old was totally up to date with his vaccinations when we left UK and as soon as we got here he needed 7 more jabs (ouch) to catch up with NZ. Hope somebody can give you the answer you need.
Cheers, SarahB

Re: Measles and mumps vaccination
The MMR Injection is given as one.
The New Zealand immunisation schedule from February 2006 is:

* DTaP-IPV + HepB only + MeNZB™ at age 5 months.
* MeNZB™ at 10 months, or at least 4 months after the third dose, for children who had started MeNZB before 6 months of age [see also the Special Vaccination Programme subhead below for information on this programme]
* Children of Hepatitis B positive mothers also need an extra dose of Hepatitis B vaccine plus immune globulin at birth.
* MMR (Measles - Mumps - Rubella) vaccine + Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type b) at 15 months.
* MMR + DTaP-IPV at age 4 to 5 years prior to school entry.
* dTap-IPV (adult Diphtheria - Tetanus - acellular Pertussis - Inactivated Polio Vaccine) at age 11 years.
* Td (adult Diphtheria - Tetanus) boosters at 45 and 65 years of age or after some injuries if it is more than five years since the last booster - check with your local medical centre [a charge may apply for these boosters].
* BCG is given at birth to babies living in households with people who have, or have had tuberculosis (TB) or there are immigrants from countries where TB is common.
