Thank you! We're loving New Zealand so far, spent the last few days wandering around Ponsonby/ Parnell/ etc for a place to stay. We're both looking forward to settling in a little.

Been back in UK 3 weeks now ,bought a house with real upvc double glazing ,a conservatory and proper insulation and gas central heating all half the price of what we sold our wooden home for in Wellington,found food to be so much cheaper and more choice ,petrols a bit more but not enough to worry abuit ,car is a no road tax payable thanks to ultra low emissions something NZ should sort out with all the old cars there on the road .Do I miss NZ ???? Well yes I do but you cant live on low wages and views and high bills and the dreaded GST on everything including your rates bills .Had 7 great yrs in NZ but retirement there was not an option there so retired early and came home .Don't regret living there or moving back, family has to come first also but as we have residency we can always return if we win lotto

Finally heard back from visa office. Visas approved! Flight booked for 26th May, arriving Wellington on 28th May. Excited!
