low iron
 
hi peeps so ever thing was going to plan then the heath board in nz decided that the need to know if there is a cause for my low iron now on tablets and it all ok but they now say i have to see a gastroenterologist (seeing on monday )
because i had bowel surgery 16 years ago i ve had no problems since is this a sign that i might not get to come feeling a little down and drained at the mo :(

sorry to hear that, no one can answer what the medical guys will say. When I had a referral to the medical assessor I went to see my own doctor with their concerns and she immediately did her own test (xray for me) and saw no problems so I was ready with a report from her if required. As it was there was nothing new, just old scarring on the lung and the medical assessor came back, after 2 weeks, I think it was, with no further action required. So have a chat with your own GP about the assessors concerns and see what they say. Ultimately it is down to the CO to decide if the assessors ruling (if cause for concern) is cause for rejection of the application.
