Default Loving it but need to tie up some UK ends

Hi all,

We've been here now two years living in Wellington. We've been here before from 2003-06. This time around we've made the move for the kids and since they are small enough to think they were born here they couldn't moan about missing anything.

Now, we left a home in the Uk which we are currently renting and want to keep but since Noembar last year our mortgage contract has expired, not too bothered right now about it being varible rate right now but soon something might happen to the UK interest rate.

Has anyone heard of Expat Mortgages, and can anyone enlighten me to there highs and lows? I've been offered a fixed rate for 3years, 3.89% and a £600 fee. Not bad I've been told.

Other then that I love being able to cycle to work, although the Wellington wind proves a real challenage. It's great.

Any ideas or advice would be gratefully received. Thanks
Graham

Do you have any recommendations on insurance for UK property for non-residents? PM me if you like.
