Default Long Stay travel insurance for 75 year old

Hi All,
Mum is coming for a 6 month visit from beginning of October and
leaving beginning of April
We are looking for reasonably priced travel insurance for her, also as she will be 75 this year, some companies wont insure her. Does she go for single trip/long stay?
A couple of quotes I have had online have been between £308-£478.
Any info greatly appreciated.

300 quid seems pretty decent I should think.
How much do you think you are going to pay?

That seems fair to me that's only just under £20 per week at the highest rate, you can pay that for a week in Spain. Has she any medical conditions to declare?

When we visited last time it was £231 for 6 weeks for the 2 of us and we are both in our 70's. In the past we have paid more.

Plus another factor we have just done our car insurance with Saga got a price on line but don't like to give card details so I phoned them instead and it was cheaper. The person I spoke to told me its nearly always cheaper to ring so give it a try. We have also used Age Concern.

Hi,
I've used Globelink.co.uk travel insurance for my parents, they are 72 and 70 years.
Globelink provides cover for people aged to 84 years and cover for many pre-existing medical conditions. May be it will be helpful to you.
