Living expenses in New Zealand?

Can anyone advice the average living expenses in NZ? how cheaper is it compared with Australia?

Are we talking house/flat/room rental, electricity, phone, internet, cellphone, alcohol, petrol, food, Big Mac, taxi's, buses, trains, clothes, shoes, handbags etc etc ?!?!?

Toughy. BP pays approx $12 an hour which i understand is low but relatively standard. For stores you may be paid between that and around $15ph. Check www.seek.co.nz for some job adverts which may include pay scales.
oh, per annum Farmers (a department store chain) pays approx between $26,000 and $29,000 which is around $500 a week. Not a lot. But then again, sales assistants often don't get a lot.

I was going to say about $15 an hour, as for expense we need a bit more info...list what you want rough expenses for, then we can give you an idea, ie rental of house/ room etc, car and ins, etc etc. As far as NZ and Oz go I am lead to understand that alosmt everyone who choses betwixt the 2 will find themselves better off in Oz. We lost 45000 people to Oz last year..I am surprised there's anyone left in NZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well we are staying, so the population is guaranteed to be 5 for the forseeable future!!!!!!!!!
