There are quite a few of us around who meet up as and when and have been known to partake in an alcoholic beverage or two, or three, or four ... you get the picture!
Glad you like Papamoa it's been a pretty decent first Summer hasn't it?
I know of people who have been to the Navigator, but must admit I haven't yet. Seem to make it as far as Rain or frequent downtown Mount.
I work down the Mount so probably pass you in the street without knowing it, I can often be found loitering outside Latitude 37 or Bay Sushi!
We'll give you a shout when there's next a meet up.

Hubster is a very frequent member/player at the Mount golf club as is daughter number 2. Wednesdays is blokes day down there - which normally I'd consider quite rude, however, because it's golf I don't!! If you fancy a game give us a shout?

Yoga, yep probably OK, kiwi's into fitness. If the kids go to school it's easier as they will meet kids their own age. The problem of making friends arises when the kids don't go to school as school is a natural way for kids and parents to make friends. Have not heard anything bad about the schools in Papamoa from expats who live in this area. I don't regret moving to Papamoa - close to the beach, amenities and quiet oh so quiet if you want it to be.
If you do move, feel free to contact us. A friendly face can make all the difference when you first move. You don't say if you already have 'contacts in NZ', if you don't were happy to fill the position. [email protected]

We have a spare set of (sit OH down before you say this) PING G2 golf clubs we can lend for the price of a beer at the end of the game, clubs must be returned before reaching 19th hole, they have been counted by the owner (my son).

Re: life in Papamoa
I am just wondering if those of you living in Papamoa, are aware/ recall the severe rain storm which occurred in the area in May 3-4 years ago ? Many streets in Papamoa were severely flooded. Papamoa itself is below sea level. Just something to consider if you are planning on living there.
Other parts of Tauranga were badly affected also. The good news is is that it has been called " a one in a hundred year storm."
