Leaving party
Well last night was the first of our leaving parties, nearly 200 people turned up, we were humbled to see so many friends and family there
However it still all seems unreal, I'm sure at some point it will hit home that we are actually doing this

Huh, thought this was going to be an invite....
We were going to have a party but so much sh*t has been flying round we're not sure we'll bother now. Save the pennies. I know who loves and will miss me

Re: Leaving party
Doesn't cost a penny, use a local pub who will be happy for some extra customers on a usually quiet evening

Re: Leaving party
we did a leaving do for the kids, local hall, hired an entertainer and provided food. cost about 400 pounds but the kids still talk about it now so was worth it,

Re: Leaving party
We looked at having a leaving do, but the only time we could fit it in prior to emigration was early January when we left on the 1st March.
Just didn't seem right having a leaving do then still being around 9 or 10 weeks so we decided to leave it and save the money.
We had a few mini leaving do's instead with the individuals we wanted to say goodbye to.

Say Au revoir instead of goodbye? Or alternatively just have a massive booze up
