Well here we go. Last night in the UK and setting off to Singapore tomorrow (up at 4am!!!). A night in Singapore then onto Auckland. All tears and goodbyes but can' wait to get out there. Signing off now as it's very late to get up so early the next day. We'll let you now how we get on and hopefully find out loads of info to pass on through the forum. On the subject of info www.trademe.co,nz sorted us out with a good rental for a month so maybe worth checking out. Take it easy and we'll be logging back on in a few days.
Yipeeeeee!

The weather is getting warmer and hopefully the sun will be shining when you come through those arrival gates. Good luck.

All of us agreed (age 4 - 39!) that it was clean, green, friendly, hot and has some fantastic sceney and attractions. Not enough time in two days and wish we had stayed longer. First day of spring here today and already settled in and got rid of the jet lag (well just about). I've heard it's more expensive here from some members but as long as you don't buy cucumbers (2 quid!!) you should be alright. A Dominos (pizza) cost $40 4 5 people so much less. Auckland is beautiful and the marina is fantasic. There is a fish market there but doesn't smell at all like Grimsby or Hull! We're in an apartment in CBd and 3 weeks to find a house - couldn't be better though and loving every minute of it. Go to Singapore en route!!!!!!
Hey if you like fruit go to a Fruit World (they are all over the place).... they have the most massive granny smiths and oranges in at the moment... I was telling my mum about them and weighed one on the kitchen scales and they all weighed 3/4 of a pound each. Might get cheaper cucumbers there too..

OK.... you can also live here if you want to catch a ferry to CBD every day. They go from Pine Harbour (Beachlands) if you fancy a more rural setting.
