Kiwi women? where are they?

This is my personal experience...
On a hot sunny Sunday afro (today) this is what my neighbours are doing.

One is out side building a huge retaining fence, which he has been doing solo for about 4 weeks.
One is building a patio out the frount, also by himself.
One has just single handedly finished decorating and renovating the kitchen...

Good on these Kiwi blokes.

My piont is...where are the wives don't they help?

When we "as a couple" undertake DIY projects whether it building fences or decorating or building decks I'm always expected to help...

What are the women doing?

Or is it ...where did I go wrong?

Anyone else notice this?

I think they are all out shopping.

Yes, I to do my bit and help out and supervise the proceedings, only to make sure that the job gets done to my specifications and standard of workmanship..

This could be it....the men are snoozing... the women are dressed up like men doing the manual stuff. Sounds more logical.

I think more that anything, Kiwi females should be praised for their independance of spirit...blah blah blah first country to give women the vote...blah blah blah....first country to have females holding all the major positions of power....blah blah blah......first country to have 'female chauvinist pigs'....

or should that be 'sows'?

You were doing so well there, too, Avid... :p ;)

Well...I think it has to be said that NZ has a weird kind of female chauvinism that seems to be a bit out of hand.

Even as a married bloke, there are a lot (a higher majority) of ugly women in NZ.

There's also an overwhelming amount of guys that get sent out to do the weekly shopping. Biggest topic of conversation in my workplace is among the guys, over whether Foodtown, New World et al are the best.

I sit near to a guy who calls his missus to tell her what she needs to get from the supermarket and then he goes to do the shopping. It's like he needs her approval on what he has to get. He also calls her daily to ask what to have for dinner and a big discussion ensues about what they have left and what can he can cook.

Makes me LOL everytime.

You didn't go wrong, it just so happens you do it differently.

Or I hope that's the case. My Brit OH does most of the outside work and I do most of the inside work. If he needs a hand with his he asks and I do and vice versa. Sometimes we do both together.

We share some interests and some we don't. He loves fishing and I don't so if he goes fishing I do something else. I love diving so if he is going for a dive I go. Seems pretty simple to me.

Now all you experts tell me if my Brit husband has got it all wrong or has his Kiwi wife gpt ot all wrong ?

I shave my legs and under my arms, I don't have to shave my top lip(well not yet) , I don't and never have had a mullet haircut, I respect my OH and think he is a "spunk" and I behave like a woman he loves.

Are you lot telling me I am not a Kiwi woman ?

He likes them. His daughter, however, still does not.

And on another note, I don't have a mullet either :)
