Default Kiwi born and bred - over it

I love my country, for all its foibles. But there comes a time, and it is now. Housing is a joke. An expensive one at that. Everything is stupidly expensive. John Key is an ineffectual cnut. I'm almost done. UK is much more appealing.

Obviously your frustration is resonating through there. What is it about the UK that appeals to you more?

See ya.

One less person driving up the demand on a slim selection of properties here.

Fair enough statement

But what are you going to do about it?

I've screamed and shouted. I'm going to polarise now. I want a tax on overseas investors.

Good luck TommyLuck. It sucks.

We're in an ok position. I feel for you. I hate the position you are in. Not fair.

I didn't vote for JK either. As you say ineffectual, uncaring ****. IMO of course.

Are you really ready to leave Marblep? Wouldn't Australia for a while suit better?

It used to be relatively easy to pop over to the UK on a NZ passport and land a decent job. Haven't things tightened up a fair bit now with work preference given to EU citizens?

Immigrants buy 5% of the houses in New Zealand. English make up just over half of that 5%. Even if all of the English stop buying properties over here it won't make any difference. it is the whole system that sucks the living daylight out of hardworking families who don't have the privilege of having a spare 1 to 2 million dollars in the bank.

Not a lot John Key can do about the reserve banks rulings

If only the bank of England were tough on companies dishing out mortgages for free like Northern Rock - the UK wouldn't find itself in the mess it's in

Count your blessings it's John Key in charge and not Gerry Rowntrees fruit gums eater

bwhahaha (Gerry's a pie man, y'know, pie and a pint, well, several actually) I think Gerry BrownAle would be a fitting soubriquet. (Did I spell soubriquet correctly ? I did ok on pie.)

I regret wasting my vote on John Key. I regret it everytime I see his smug face and hear his effeminate voice.

My husband says the Rt Hon John will high tail it back to America soonest when his term of office comes to an end, so he can make some real money. PM of NZ will be nothing more than an entry on his CV.
