Hi, No cure i'm afraid, but know how you feel, i've had a dicky neck for a week now and nothing easing it, keep meaning to take myself to doc's but just had no time, if still got it when kids go back to school will book myself in for checkup, but for the time being its suffer by day and plenty of wine and painkillers by night!!

I can't think of an actual cure, but heat is usually good - something like a hot water bottle or heat rub and an Ibuprofen type painkiller is best for muscular pain (sorry, you probably know that).
Have lots of sympathy too, that always helps, so big glass of sympathy coming right up - I've tried sending you karma but I don't know if it worked
So, crappy day at work - wot happened?
Had the hot water bottle and stuff last night, I just feel battered and bruised this morning...maybe owen was kicking me in my sleep (I will get my own back if he has )
Monday was just a day were we had lots of things to update on the statements and stuff so it just took forever to do it, as we got it all done yesterday hoepfully we should have a better day
Have you finished work yet Karen? and how are the goodbyes going

Tried to do some ironing yesterday and felt like my head was going to fall off.

go to Scotland on Friday, the house is a complete shit-tip at the moment but having moved many times with Steve being in the RAF, I know it will all come together in time. Already done some cleaning and managed to turn up the list that Steve made when we took over this house that point out all the faults - so we won't get blamed for leaving it in the same mess we found it in!
Steve makes daily trips to the tip to download rubbish - why do we keep it in the first place?
I know all that stuff will be OK - but seriously worried about Visa not being granted yet. I know it was foolhardy to go about it the way we have, but we made that decision and now have to reap the consequences... I honestly think it will be OK and come through in time, but I also have moments of doubt that really get me down
Enough self-pity, my round, lets drink oursleves into oblivion!

Have you booked your flights yet? and have you been told the visa is ok, just waiting for that little sticker in your passport?

I still can't believe you're working on Thursday and moving on Friday! You're very brave (or mad). You must be looking forward to seeing your boys and spending some time with them over the next few weeks.
We had an e mail from Palmerston North yesterday asking us to reconsider relocating in Wellington and go to Palmie instead, which is what we had initially planned. They also offer a relocation package so it's quite tempting, we really liked Palmie when we were out there but felt that we might be better going to a bigger city in the first place. The other reason was that with only one children's ward we felt quite limited but the HR person says it can be worked around (not sure how) although they do have clinic and out patients. We keep saying "what about Palmie" "no, we like Welly" and it's caused a bit of turmoil but I'm sure we'll stick with what we've decided in the end.
Anyway, as it's your round I'll have a Guiness and black. I'll get the next one - what's on the jukie tonight?

Stopping in home village (get the atlas out - ROTHES, near Elgin) until 16th, off to my big sisters for her birthday (other side of Aberdeen) that weekend, then back to nr Buxton, pick up my mother, take her to Steve's Dad's for a coupla days (Norfolk), off to Steve's Mum's (Cambridgeshire) for a few days, then go and see our best man Jim who is also Melissa's godfather and happens to live near Heathrow...I am so looking forward to it all being over as it will be a bittersweet experience.
So to be honest, I'm not looking forward to seeing my sons at all as it would be far easier heartbreak-wise not to.. As i mentioned before, No 1 son has a webcam and already uses it, so that will make it easier once we go.
Personally, if I were you, if Palmerston want you that much and you aren't that bothered if you get the jobs... up the ante and tell them what would entice you to accept their offer - you have nothing to lose!
Right huge long post, I've drunk all my beers, can I stick you for 21 lagers
