Re: Just thought I would share
Nice one Phyl restores the balance a bit after some negative threads, which I agree have their place as well.

Oh come on, that article is the biggest load of old tosh ever.
Forgetting the writers obvious infatuation with rugby, the hype is beyond belief, I dont think he's ever been to NZ.
Kiwis "well read", and in harmony with their indigenous population, "the indigenous heritage is a shared national heritage", a
"land of geniality " .
"Fabulous food and wine, some of the most flavoursome coffee..." , what better than any other country in the world?
"This in a country where the real reality is so hard to beat". Excuse me while I vomit.
In anybody believes any of that, then they are more stupid and gullible than I thought, ROFLMAO.

Re: Just thought I would share
I really loved that article ( read it at -ahem- work today)
It is a great fricken place and there are somethings that it does really fricken well
It's great to see that someone (well more than someone, a whole damn pile of us) appreciates it
Kiwis "well read",agree there...never seen so many book clubs
and in harmony with their indigenous population, certainly working on it at least and boldly having the hard conversations - even the conservatives make an effort
"the indigenous heritage is a shared national heritage", I saw a great sketch at the comedy festival about how even the shore boys attempt a mean haka when overseas
a
"land of geniality " well the shop keepers never shut up to be sure.
"Fabulous food and wine,mmmm....steak
some of the most flavoursome coffee..."agree there too ,
what better than any other country in the world? I haven't been to many but it's my perfect place - i'm scared if i go back home I'll get caught in an ash cloud and won't be able to get back here
For me...on balance...what more is there to want
if i got more shopping...i'd have to deal with more crowds
If I paid less tax - I may have less public service
you never get everything unless you form your own little island nation

Re: Just thought I would share
That article is written by someone in the pay packet of NZ Rugby or NZ tourism, make no mistake about that.
You lot seriously need to take off the rose tinted glasses.
Im just off to the Hutt now to do some donuts and shoot some P with the other bogans.
