The joys of ASB Bank
Come on then, who had fun attempting to use ASB bank yesterday evening???
Down the supermarket, trying to pay for some groceries and my card was being declined. Checked at home, the payment went through twice and we were overdrawn
Thankfully all sorted but have noted the date, just in case they attempt to add overdraft charges.
Saw at the BP petrol station on Papanui Road a few annoyed customers.

We have to be uber nice to ASB now as a poster here works for them

Have you considered having a little account or credit card at another bank to hedge your bets? I don't want to sound like a doom monger but with no protection scheme on accounts here in New Zealand (if the bank goes down it can take a chunk of your money to dig itself back out) spreading funds around between the big four may make a lot of sense anyway.
