Job Offers!

Job Offers!
Hi ... update
We went to the Expo in London which we found very interesting. Came home with bags of brochures, leaflets, rugby balls, sweets, pens!! Everyone was really friendly and helpful. We now have 'information overload'!!! Trying to sift through everything.
Hubby was interviewed/held discussions with four possible employers and ALL of them want to offer him a post. Now waiting for specifics on all the job offers before deciding which is the best for us. Location wise, we could be in Auckland (Manukau), Hamilton, Wellington (depending on offer we accept).
Looks like we will be making some interesting decisions soon.

Re: Job Offers!
Good news! Had you set up interviews before attending or just struck lucky? We're going to Manchester this weekend and wondered if we should try contacting some of the exhibitors first.

Re: Job Offers!
Hi Jane,
We also went to the Expo in London. Came home with bags of brochures and leaflets.
OH was looking for a Joinery job, but ended up getting offered a very well paid Design Job. They are willing to wait till early next year.
Could not believe it, they are also offering to pay for all of our relocation costs.
Regards
Karen

Re: Job Offers!
Hi All
My OH does highways/transportation (civil engineering) stuff. He sent off two CVs a couple of weeks before the Expo in reply to a job trawl advert he received online about the Expo.
He had one telephone interview a few days before the Expo, but when the guy realised we were coming to the Expo too, they carried on their discussions there. He was invited for an interview at the Expo for the other company after sending the CV to them.
Whilst at the Expo, we visited another company's stand (No 3) and they were very interested, so an interview was arranged for the following day (as we were in London for the weekend - show, etc). My OH handed a CV to the fourth company at the Expo and they had a quick discussion and said they could certainly offer a job (he is going to have a telephone interview with them shortly).
My OH also handed his CV to a recruitment company and they have been in touch, but I think he has so many direct offers, he may not need to use them.
No decision has been made yet as to which job he will accept, as two of the companies said they will be sending specifics within the next 7-14 days. One has already come back with a good salary and have indicated that it would not be their final offer.
We feel so lucky to be in this position and the next couple of weeks will be very interesting. When the right decision has been made, I will certainly be asking tons of questions, but for now, one step at a time!
Thanks for all your replies and good wishes.
