Looking for ideas, comments, leads - I know, thats pushing it a bit, but you never know if you don't ask!

I'm suscribed to the NZ Govt Jobs site, and I'm finding my way round Trade Me, plus I have a new search/alert on Seek for NZ. Any others I should know about?
What I'm after is Govt or local government, preferably emergency services - not operational fire/paramedic, but back of house and support; or planning for disastsrs, reacting to them, civil defence stuff. Skills are admin/disaster management based after 10 years of helping the response to disasters in Queensland. Even private companies would be worth looking at though if they are into planning/response/recovery.
It would need to be city based as I don't drive and have krap eyes so can't get a licence so I'm looking at Christchurch, Wellington, maybe Nelson. Wouldn't rule out other places though if the job was right.

Just me, no family to consider, and I would be arriving as an Australan citizen ( I knew it would be good for something one day!) so no visa issues. No capital though, so I would be renting and need a job asap. I could move from here (Queensland) fast, but can't move without work.

Any comments gratefully received!

WREMO (Wellington Regional Emergency Management Office) were advertising recently on their Facebook page for people to work for them. Can't find it now of course, but it could be worth contacting them anyway. They come across as very professional on their public updates (usually earthquakes, flooding and wind!)

EQC? They deal with all natural disasters, not just earthquakes.
