In Auckland/Chch:

Virtualized Hosting Environment (and Data Services) Engineer

Responsibilities, include (not exhaustively):
- Assisting in the Management of physical infrastructure for internal hosting environment: networking and physical host configuration
- Assisting in the Management of virtual hosting environment, based on VMWare ESX/ Vcloud Management Environment
- Assisting in the Management of services running on hosting environment, using Puppet for node configuration and management as well as other solutions for management of services as a whole
- Assisting in the Configuration and Tuning of services running on hosting environment, specifically around data management – storage and transfer

Skill-set:
Linux – various flavours
Databases – Mysql, Postgres
Web servers – Apache
Networking – including performance tuning
Virtualization – VMWare
Configuration Management – Puppet
Version Control – Git
Familiarity with solutions around Data Storage/Transfer - e.g. Cloud offerings
IT Service Management expertise would be desirable – change, incident, problem, etc management
