Re: Its just flippin coffee..
I like my women like I like my coffee ... In a plastic cup.
any Eddie Izzard fans out there?
In truth I like my coffee with on it's no diary fluff, maybe a sprinkling of cinnamon if I'm feeling racey, but ultimately black.
The Kiwi's over here love to rave about 'things back home'. And as a coffee fan they tell me that I'll LOVE the coffee in New Zealand.
Went and got a coffee from the Mamata Bakehouse, on the corner of Warnock St and Richmond Road around Cox's Bay in Auckland - it was awesome. Truly magnificent.
Next day I tried another coffee place, this time in Takapuna. Average.
Truth is New Zealand, coffee wise, is like anywhere else in the world. Some places will be to your taste. Others wont be to your taste.
I do enjoy my coffee though, as I enjoy Whiskey, Wine and Beer for their taste.
Did make me laugh when the OH's grandmother fell of her chair when I told her I'd paid $3.50 for a coffee.
I'm not a smoker, so I find alternative ways to stain my teeth - I drink between 5 and 7 barista made coffee's a week, it's a thoroughly enjoyable habit.
But the price is thing is the same difference, right? You buy a beer for 6 to 10 dollars in the pub, when you could buy a crate in the supermarket for 30 bucks ...

I love a good espresso coffee. Trim flat white for me, not too creamy and the bitterness of the coffee comes through more.
At $4-4.50 a time I try an limit myself to one or two a week.
At home I drink pint mugs of tea. I can't stand instant coffee any more. Nescafe smells like Bovril once it's been open for a day. Blech.
