Plums : Over Christmas , what we are not eating or giving away, I am freezing as fast as they fall because they don't and won't last for more than a day or so.
Now , it's the time of the carrot ; black boy peach ; tomato & sweetcorn gluts.
Black Boys, I will freeze whole for crumble and pies later on.
Carrots and sweetcorn get blanched and frozen.
Toms - that has to be soup. I can pick up home made relish and chutneys for virtually nothing, by swapping or gold coin.

You should visit an apple packing plant some time, our local one processes a couple of million+ a day, tis an amazing sight
You get sick of the sight of them by June though
