Not exactly english but theres a nice old (oldest in auckland i think)
little pub on Vulcan Lane in Auckland.
Vulcan ln is a narrow little side street on the
left as you walk up queen street from the harbour.
It has a laid back Boho atmospher

The best Irish pub in Wellington is the Black Harp on corner of Featherston and Johnston Streets.

The Clare inn in Auckland is a great little Irish pub.It's in Dominion Road,Mt Eden.
